Meet The Crew

Ziggy is a little girl with brown hair that she always wears in two high ponytails on the top of her head. She loves the color purple and wearing her purple cape that has the big letters “H” and “S” on the back. She will tell you the HS on her cape represents her super-powers. No, her HS cape doesn’t stand for “High School”, “Home Schooled” or “Hulk Smash”.  If anyone asks, Ziggy is quick to tell them her super-powers come from the “Holy Spirit”.

Ziggy's cape represents the breast plate of righteousness.  When we put on the breastplate of righteousness, we are protecting our hearts from sin and learning to be righteous- right before God through the sanctifying grace of the Holy Spirit.  

Ziggy’s best friend is Jama who is a llama. A pretty llama with long eyelashes that loves flowers and enjoys giving her friend Ziggy rides wherever their adventures might take them. How did this little girl get a llama as a best friend? Well, when your Dad owns the local Zoo, animals as best friends are not that big a deal. Ziggy loves when Dad takes her to work with him.

Vivie is a blonde hair little girl who loves the color purple almost as much as she loves flowers.  She is known by her purple glasses and her HS flower headband symbolizing the Helmet of Salvation.

When we put on the helmet of salvation, we can avoid sinful thoughts and understand what is good and true. When we forget to do this, we are susceptible to thoughts that are planted in us by the enemy, who seeks to harm our walk with Christ.

Oliver is Vivie's encouraging spirit filled little brother who adventures with Vivie.  He doesn't go anywhere without his HS hubcap aka his shield of faith.

When armored with the shield of faith, we are prepared and reminded that even though we may not be able to see God or how things are going to work out, we can trust Him because He can see all and knows all and only wants what is best for us! That kind of trust or faith protects us from Satan's fiery darts that can cause us to doubt or not trust God. 

Boone is a brave, quick thinking, little boy who loves Jesus and uses his HS sword to obtain wisdom from the Holy Spirit.

Boone's sword represents the sword of the Spirit.  The sword is a representation of God's written word, the Bible. Both offensive and defensive in nature, a sword can protect a soldier against the blows of an enemy. Soldiers have to know how to properly wield a sword for maximum effect.

In the same way, we can’t misuse the sword of the Spirit, or we’ll put ourselves in danger on the spiritual battlefield. Whenever using the word of God for the offensive (evangelism efforts) or defensive (apologetics), we need to know everything we can about it.

Athan is a joyful, energetic little boy who loves Jesus.  His favorite pair of shoes are his HS red shoes which he puts on especially when the going gets tough. 

Athan's red shoes are his Gospels of Peace where he can advance onto the battlefield unafraid, because he carries with him the good news of Jesus’ death and resurrection. Athan reminds us that no matter what the enemy throws at us, amidst the war and chaos, we know God has everything under control and that His plan cannot be thwarted by the enemy.
